Oh what ever should I wear?We get this question… a lot at jelly bean, so we’ve put together this little cheat sheet to help you get the most out of your photo shoot. |
|
| • | One set of clothes should be plain (minimal patterns, neutral colours, blue jeans, plain t-shirts, no big logos or crazy patterns) because we’re not shooting a catalogue for Target, our focus is you. |
| • | Another set of clothes can be solid funky colours. |
| • | Coordinate if there is more than one person having their photo taken. Colour coordinate without matching one another too much. |
| • | Find a colour or two and use different shades on everyone. |
| • | You can also coordinate without everyone wearing exactly the same (like boys in pants & girls in dresses) If you can try not to overdo the colours you choose, trying have some people in the picture just have a slight colour pop. |
| • | How about traditional colours in a trendy fashion? |
| • | What about white or black with fun accessories or props? |
| • | If there are any props or favourite toys, bring them along – your little one will be more likely to relax with them close by & they make great attention grabbers! |
| • | For really, really little people (newborn babies) clothing can be a distraction, so plain outfits are best. |
| • | You can also add a bit of style using a hint of bright colours, fun shoes (colourful shoes, impractical shoes, boots) and accessories (hats, scarfs, belts, glasses).
|
Just remember – be yourselfAfter all this, remember that pictures are meant to capture you and your family, so be you! |
|
| • | If you are a casual family, go casual. If you love style, go stylish! |
| • | Bring props that capture you, your family or your kids. (cute bikes, guitars, skate boards, fun skirts for girls). |
